Small Animal
Case Studies
Brief synopsis:
Small animals receiving Nitric Oxide enhancing products.
#1 Chicken
injury: In March
of 2002 a Rhode Island Red hen was attacked by a dog. The result was an approx.
3"x 3"x 3/4" deep avulsion under the chickens wing and on her thigh. There was
nothing left to suture, and no small animal vets available who would treat the
chicken. The hen was brought in to the house, caged, and her wound was flushed
with sterile saline. She was treated with NutraWound given orally in a small
syringe, 3x per day for 10 days and also with cold laser to help promote
the body's own healing process. No antibiotics were given, and the wound was not treated topically, and
was unable to be bandaged. The chicken healed completely in 7-10 days. She even
grew back all of her feathers. The tissue never became necrotic; she didn't
slough any tissue, and healed without any scarring whatsoever.
#2 Dog, soft tissue
injuries: 1999, "Cody" a 1 yr. shepherd mix was ran over by a car. His injuries
were all soft tissue, with no fractures or internal injuries. He was prescribed
medicine for pain relief, but still hobbled around, and cried in pain. His pain
meds ran out, and he was changed to NutraWound. He received 3cc NutraWound
powder in a syringe mixed with water, 2x daily. After 2 days, he was moving
freely again, and had stopped crying in pain. Within 1 week, he was completely
back to normal, playing like a big pup. He remained on the NutraWound for 2
weeks total, and has not had any reoccurrences.
#3 Dog, cruciate
ligament injuries: 1999, "Diannah" a 9 y/o Cardigan Welsh Corgi was examined and
palpated by her veterinarian, and cruciate ligament surgery was recommended for
both sides. "Diannah" had chronically favored, and hitched her leg, either 1
hind leg or the other for about 6 months. Initially it had started on just one
side, and then she began with both sides intermittently. Stairs were sometimes
difficult for her. She had been on different pain meds over the last 6 months
when she was showing symptoms. "Diannah" was taken off all other pain meds., and
began treatment with NutraWound, 3cc powder, two times per day. After 1 week all
symptoms of lameness had disappeared completely. She remained on the product for
1 month, and as of 2003 she has not had any signs of discomfort or limping, or
hitching her leg when she moves. Her new vet palpated her recently, and said he
could not feel any abnormalities whatsoever.
Research is now ongoing and
products specific to small animals will soon be releasing . Call us
